Ankle exercises
Plantar flexion
Goal:
-To strengthen ankle muscles.
Procedure:
-Sit on the floor or an exercise bench with your legs extended in front of you.
-Roll up a small towel and place it underneath your left leg about midway between your ankle and knee.
-Gently move your foot downward, moving the top of the foot away from your body.
Notes:
-Do not do the exercises unless advised by your doctor.
-Repetitions of each exercise depend on your tolerance and condition, usually between 30-50 times.
-If you feel any pain while doing the exercises stop and ask your doctor.
